Subcontractor IoT Arena is back on the trade fair floor with new, exciting IoT cases to inspire visitors. Last year’s successful event has been developed and expanded, with the aim of giving manufacturing companies concrete ideas about how to digitalise their products for a smarter future.
The most direct path to development is to be inspired by others. At Subcontractor IoT Arena, exhibitors present concrete connected cases that are on the market today. From connected water taps to tracking freight containers or monitors in the windscreens of the world’s most connected car, the Internet of Things makes it possible to create new forms of added value for customers.
“The idea is to give visitors a varied smorgasbord of inspirational ideas that they can then combine to find suitable solutions for their own needs and industry,” explains Magnus
Mörstam, coordinator of the arena.
This year’s cases include the Tronic WMS (Water Management System) from the water tap manufacturers FM Mattsson. In cooperation with Telia, they have equipped mixer taps in public spaces with sensors that are connected to Telia’s IoT platform via the mobile network. The collected data can be used for such purposes as to optimise water and energy usage and to plan maintenance more efficiently.
“We can save on resources, offer more cost-effective services to our customers, and actually provide a better experience for all the people who use these facilities,” says Frank Rälg, Business Development Manager at FM Mattsson Mora Group.
