Press invitation: Garden trends and future technology forecasts at Elmia Garden

Elmia Garden is northern Europe’s largest meeting place for the garden retail trade. On 4–5 October 160 exhibitors from 10 countries will meet at Elmia in Jönköping to present their new products. Everything from the latest technology to the garden trends for 2018 will be presented on stage.

At the press showing Kristin Koefoed, project manager for Elmia Garden, will present this year’s highligts and news at the fair. Kaj Christiansson, the new CEO of BoGrönt, present their work to strengthen members’ position in the market. Blomsterfrämjandet and Elitplanta talk about their upcoming acitivites and the The perennial group of the garden section of the Federation of Swedish Farmers will present Perennial of the Year 2018.
The press showing will be on Wednesday 4 October at noon on the stage in Hall D.

News and focus areas

This year we are placing extra focus on the future challenges and opportunities for florists and flower shops. This will be presented in the form of inspirational displays, live podcasts and a panel discussion with the florist industry’s leading players. The new segment Future Stories will show how flower shops can get their message out with the aid of VR technology, 3D printing and social media.

This year Elmia Garden has more exhibitors than ever. One new group is companies in garden furniture, grills and outdoor lighting. This product area is also of interest to new visitor groups such as property owners and housing cooperatives.

Nominated for the Elmia Garden Award 2018

The nominees for the Elmia Garden Award for the 2018 garden product of the year will be revealed at the fair. The prize for 2017 went to the concrete planting ring produced by Design Björn Lidbrandt. At this year’s fair all the entries nominated for the 2018 award will be displayed in an exhibition in the South Lobby.
